How to make an insurance claim
Make things safe, report the claim as soon as you can, keep evidence and do not throw away damaged items until the insurer agrees. If you arranged cover through Gaia, call us and we will help you through it.
Prevent further damage
Turn off water, board up a window or move stock, if it is safe to do so.
Photos and receipts
Take photos before cleaning up and gather receipts or proof of value.
Police and crime numbers
Report theft or vandalism to the police and keep the crime reference number.
Do not admit liability
After an accident involving others, exchange details but do not admit fault.
